Ghostbusters: Tainted Love

My latest project is a holiday-themed one-shot for IDW, based on the beloved Ghostbusters franchise. It will ship in February 2010. Here's the official solicitation copy:

Ghostbusters: Tainted Love - Love is in the air - literally! - as Winston befriends an attractive woman with a ghostly problem in her apartment. But trapping the love-struck apparition proves to be more complicated than the Ghostbusters originally thought. Can Winston step up and save the day? Just how far will Peter go to find a date? And do Ray and Egon ever stop to think about girls, or is it always about trans-dimensional ectoplasmic anomolies with those two?

The amazing artwork on this book is provided by Salgood Sam. Be sure to ask your retailer to save you a copy.

Latest Graphic Novels: Archibald and Terminator Salvation

My latest 2 trade paperback collections are on opposite ends of the spectrum:

The Absurd Adventures of Archibald Aardvark: Bullets, Booze, and Beelzebub (Image Comics) follows the zany noir adventures of Tinseltown's famous Archibald Aardvark. This book takes the classic animation of Fleischer Studios and kicks it out of a moving car in the middle of Roman Polanski's Chinatown. (More info and previews here).

Terminator Salvation (IDW Publishing) is the official prequel to the latest action movie, starring Christian Bale as John Connor. The story follows the human resistance fighters and spans the globe, from Terminator factories in Detroit to a uranium mine in Niger. (More info and previews here)

Coming Soon to the iPhone: Brainbot, Jr.

The Brainbot, Jr. comic strip began in Melt magazine, featuring the artwork of the inimitable Tom Williams. Starting this Fall, you'll be able to read the further adventures of Brainbot and his friends by downloading the comic strips on your iPhone of Google Android phone.

Pictures from our "Unmasked" party

Ferret Press and the writers and artists of the PANEL collective sponsored Unmasked, a free pre-Mid Ohio Con party on Friday, November 24, 2006. "The Underground" at Barley's Brewing Company Ale House No. 1 was the venue for this event, featuring free admission, free appetizers, and live music by the Poophouse Jug Band. A great time was had by all.

Comic Book Challenge and San Diego Con 2006

Dara was one of the 50 semi-finalists competing in the Comic Book Challenge contest, which took place in San Diego during the week of Comic-Con International. Check out his photos from both events, featuring celebrity judges, fans in costumes, and life-size Hot Wheels.

Ferret Press at Comfest 2006

After a year absence, we once again had a booth at the 34th annual Comfest in Columbus, Ohio. Comfest is the largest all-volunteer run community festival in the country, with 3 days of music from over 200 live bands on 6 stages. And it's all free! Click here to view pictures from Comfest 2006.

BigCityBlues comic and music CD

The BigCityBlues one-shot will premiere at the Mid-Ohio-Con at the end of November. The 48-page comic will be accompanied by BigCityBlues: Street Music , a music CD featuring 4 talented bands from the Columbus, Ohio rock scene: No Soul Jones , eightmmstar , The Randys , and Wigglepussy, Indiana . The CD will feature an hour of music on 15 tracks as unique and diverse as the stories appearing in the book.
