I feel like the clue here is the distinctive vertical shading on the legs…I know I’ve seen that before, but can’t put an artist to it.

So I’ll take a wild guess: Steve Ditko?

  • Tony Goins says:

Nope … Here’s a hint: this artist is a fave around here.

  • craig b says:

At least two of my faves have worked on Archie, but I don’t see either of them in this. I’ll throw out Gene Colan’s name anyway, since I don’t think Tony knows about my Ron Frenz fetish.

  • Tony Goins says:

I’ve been to your house; I’ve seen the Ron Frenz dungeon.

    But no.

Hint 2: This is actually recent work.

  • Andy Bennett says:

Or maybe Norm Breyfogle, since it seems like every other MMGTA was Norm Breyfogle.

  • Tony Goins says:

    Correct as usual, King Friday.

That’s Norm Breyfogle, who has apparently landed on his pointy little feet at Archie.

I didn’t see it at first, but now that I know, I can’t stop noticing the Norm Breyfogle hands on Archie characters. It’s kinda weird.
