We’ve had a tough wee followed by an easy one, so let’s see where we end up this week:
Kind of reminds me of Norm Breyfogle, in the body language in panels 3 and 6. But of course I suck at this game.
The first thing that popped into my mind was “Gads, is this another blasted Breyfogle page?”
The eyes remind of Howard Chaykin. So I’ll go with Howard Chaykin.
Good guesses all, but no correct ones.
To me, the tell is panel 1…
Except for panel 3, it kind of looks like Walt Simonson.
I concur with Thad and say Walt Simonson with maybe Klaus Jason on inks.
Gotta be Walt Simonson. He drew most of that series, IIRC, and the shape of that face in panel 5 is pure Walt.
If Andy made the same mistake as me, then I consider that a win.
Tony, consider it a win, then!
Alas, the true winner is Thad.
Answer: Walt Simonson (breakdowns) and Klaus Janson (finishes), from Battlestar Galactica #15, published by Marvel Comics, February 1980. (via Diversions of a Groovy Kind)
