Man, last week’s page was way too easy, so let’s try this on for size:

Good luck.

    • Tony Goins says:

I should know better than to play this game, but I’m going to guess it’s Todd McFarlane. I’m seeing wonky anatomy coupled with obsessive detail on the armor.

    • craig b says:

I don’t think Dara really knows who drew this; the artist would have had to sign his name to this mess, and I don’t see that happening.

    • Nate says:

So I’m going to guess Mike Deodato based on the weird posing.
And while this is one ugly page, that Nova is doing the cha-cha. in the last panel makes it great in a peculiar sort of way.

    • thad linson says:

It does have that McFarlane/Erik Larsen vibe to it. And what’s up with Spidey’s feet? It looks like he wears a size 8 kids shoe.

    • Dara says:

All good guesses, but no dice. This artist is probably more closely associated with DC Comics, and was on one of their “New 52” relaunched books…

    • Dara says:

What’s funny is until Thad mentioned Spidey’s toothpick feet, I hadn’t noticed them over the more in your face wonky anatomy of Namorita…

    • Dara says:

OK, couple more hints…he had a healthy run on Batman in the oughts, and was the artist of one of DC’s recently cancelled New 52 books…

    • Was . I stink at typing.

    • sterg says:

      Graham Nolan?

    • Dara says:

Nope and nope. OK, I’m calling this.

Answer: Scott McDaniel and Keith Williams. This is from Amazing Spider-Man Annual #26, Marvel Comics, 1992.

    • Tony Goins says:

Scott McDaniel? He’s come a long way, baby.

    • Nate says:

McDaniel’s had one heck of a learning curve. His current work is totally competent, but his Daredevil stuff was wretched. And this page, well, the less said the better.
