Welcome to another weekend look at comic book crossover conflicts. Today, we’re going to spotlight Red Sonja vs. Thulsa Doom #2:

As far as T n’ A covers go, this one just goes above and beyond:

  • Red Sonja in a pose that shows off both her T and her A.
  • The use of an anachronistic sponge to “tastefully” cover the naughty bit of her T.
  • The whole scene framed between the naked, wide open legs of a brutish man.
  • And my favorite touch: Sonja’s “water thong.”

By the way, for those of you unfamiliar with this particular character and comic, it’s a porn title featuring outdoor sex and–

No? It’s really about a strong, independent female warrior?

Oh, never mind then. My mistake.

For porn to such a popular thing in comics, it’s odd that anatomy is done so poorly. Besides that right shoulder being dislocated, the right forearm is freakishly long, and the left arm is weirdly bowed. This looks like the artist drew it during study hall.

Many many moons ago the guy I was at Central City Comics on the east side and the guy behind the counter (not Tom) was going on about how hot the Lady Death poster they had hanging on the wall was. I pointed out that her boobs were sprouting from her neck, but his excitement was undimmed.
