I have a treat for you guys this time on 7 Covers. I’ve invited a few friends to submit their own entries, and for this inaugural 7 Covers: Friends of the Ferret Special Edition, I have a contribution from super-talented artist Victor Santos. Victor is my collaborator on the Witch & Wizard books, and has worked on many other cool projects.
Victor submitted 7 covers from DC’s The Question, as illustrated by one of my faves, Denys Cowan. I’ll let him explain why:
It’s one of my powerful influences and one of my favourite works of superheroes books. It was born under the shadow of the Miller’s Daredevil but soon get his own personality. I love the combination and evolution between the artist and the writer, and the complex character of Vic Sage and his crew.
Thanks Victor! And stay tuned, I’ve got more guest submissions coming up in the next few weeks. In the meantime, please visit Victor’s site and check out his projects:
Born in Valencia in 1977, Victor has written and illustrated a variety of comics in Spain and France, including Los Reyes Elfos, Pulp Heroes, Young Ronins, Lone in Heaven and Black Kaiser. In recent years he has begun his American adventures with Demon Cleaner and Zombee, written by Miles Gunter, and Filthy Rich, written by Brian Azzarello, one of the first titles of DC´s Vertigo Crime line. His last works are the new current series of The Mice Templar, written by Bryan Glass and Mike Omenig, and the James Patterson´s Witch & Wizard series written by Dara Naraghi, published by IDW. He lives in Bilbao, Spain. Visit him at victorsantoscomics.blogspot.com and victorsantoscomics.com

The Question is a book I’ve been meaning to pick up for a while. I have a few random issues, and the first trade. Of course I picked it up because of my passion for fedoras, but he’s a cool character.
